This trek to Base Camp on the South side of this great mountain is strenuous, but previous trekking or mountaineering experience is not necessary. You don’t need to have any technical experience; however, you do need to be in good enough physical condition to hike for 4–8 hours over hilly terrain with a light daypack. This is a trip not to be missed and is a sought-after journey by lovers of adventure worldwide, with amazing sights and awe-inspiring vistas you will never forget! Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
Explore the city after a short briefing.

Day 2: Kathmandu
Enjoy a half-day tour in the morning. In the afternoon, gear check, then last minute shopping.
Overnight: hotel
Day 3: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2800 metres)
After lapping up the awesome views from the twin-engined Otter, we take a comfortable trek from Lukla to Phakding.
Trek: 3 hours

Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 metres)
A river trek along the Dudh Kosi from Phakding to Namche Bazaar, with suspension bridges and breathtaking views.
Trek: 5 hours

Day 5: Namche Bazaar
Rest and acclimatisation day – we will hike above the town for a sunrise view of Everest and, later, explore Namche Bazaar’s Sherpa Museum.

Day 6: Trek to Tengboche (3870 metres)
Continue alongside the rushing waters of the Dudh Kosi to Tengboche from where we will experience awe-inspiring views of the Himalayan giants.

Day 7: Trek to Dingboche (4410 metres)
After passing through Pangboche (3860 metres), we continue our trek to the quaint, traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche.

Day 8: Dingboche
Rest and acclimitisation day – visit the Dingboche Monastery and explore the valley. Time in the afternoon to relax, read, or catch up on laundry!

Day 9: Trek to Lobuche (4930 metres)
Trek to farmlands and meadows, through the village of Duglha (4620 metres) to visit some stone memorials for perished climbers. The sunset on Nuptse, from Lobuche, is not to be missed!

Day 10: Trek to Gorak Shep (5160 metres)
On our trek, we will catch a glimpse of Kala Pattar – the best place from which to get a good view of Everest. After some sustenance and a break at Gorak Shep, we set off for top of Kala Pattar to gaze upon Everest’s south face, North Ridge and more, returning to Gorak Shep for the night.

Day 11: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5310 metres)
If we didn’t make it to Kala Pattar on day 10, there is an opportunity to climb it today. We then trek to Everest Base Camp (EBC).
Trek: 4 hours

Day 12: EBC
Hot tea, late breakfast, then either help the Everest team establish Base Camp or follow the acclimatisation and summit attempts of the team, depending on timing.
Day 13: EBC
Hike to the base of the Khumbu Icefall.
Day 14: Trek to Periche (4240 metres)
We head back down the valley to the village of Periche to visit the Himalayan Rescue Association’s Trekkers’ Aid Post.
Trek: 6 hours
Overnight: Hotel
Day 15: Trek to Namche Bazaar
Return along the Dudh Kosi River to Namche Bazaar.
Trek: 7 hours
Overnight: hotel
Day 16: Trek to Lukla
We journey back from Namche Bazaar to Lukla.
Trek: 7.5 hours
Overnight: hotel
Day 17: Fly to Kathmandu
We will enjoy a scenic flight back to Kathmandu.

Free day to shop, explore, or lounge around and gather your energy for our final celebration dinner in the evening!
